Piano Refinishing
Every Year we refinish and rebuild dozens of
pianos for clients all over the United States and
Canada. From piano stores and dealers to
schools, churches and private individuals, our
piano refinishing specialists perform piano
refinishing to a high level of expertise. Piano
refinishing is a specialty trade and requires
knowledge and experience with the various
different types of wood veneers used in the
manufacturing of vintage pianos. Piano
refinishing starts with proper removal of the old
decayed finish and preparing the parts for stain.
Once the stain is applied several coats of sealer
is applied and then sanded for a level, smooth,
grain filled appearance. Now the final piano finish
is ready to be applied, we use the same Lacquer
that Steinway & Sons uses on all of there new
pianos.

We apply multiple coats of lacquer to the piano
and allow the finishing material to cure for several
weeks, then the pain staking hand rubbing begins
and ends with a wonderfully lustered satin finish.
Piano refinishing is just as important to us as any
other part of the piano restoration process. Piano
refinishing, once completed should look bettor
then new and should last for generations to come.
